National Walking Day is acknowledged on the first Wednesday of every April and is sponsored by the American Heart Association. There are so many incredible health benefits that come along with simply taking a walk! Today, everyone is encouraged to take a 30 minute walk to promote healthy lifestyle awareness. Walking regularly increases cardiovascular and pulmonary strength, in turn reducing risk of stroke, heart attack, and other serious health problems. We were happy to participate, and plan to incorporate this routine into our day-to-day lives. We encourage you to do the same!
So, get out there and start walking!
